Summary: Nikon borrowed the twist cam concept from its 990/4500 series to make a sturdy little glam-cam that just wants to have fun. Though it's only got 2 Megapixel res, it does a lot with what it's got, making super 5x7 and impressively good 8 x 10 prints.  The 12 scene modes are great for getting the most out of the 2500 with the least effort learning menus and settings, and the price tag makes it a real value. Since it takes CF cards, you can use it as a fun-cam when you don't want to take along your serious digital, or you could consider giving it as a gift with a game of Twister (Amazon $8.99)...the 2500's ability to shoot from any angle will make it a natural winner.
