| TechRevu | : USB Memory Watch Knows More Than What Time It Is | |

LAKs Memory WatchErnest Lilley 06/03/03 It doesn't surprise me that someone came up with a watch that will store 128MB on your wrist. What does surprise me is that it's not bad looking and the USB cable tucks neatly into the wristband. Suddenly your watch knows a lot more than what time it is. Now if it came in Bluetooth, it would be nearly perfect. Model: LAKS 128 MB Memory Watch Product Website / Specs / Availability: see website MSRP: $93 ![]() I recently saw The Recruit, a spy movie with Al Pacino, Colin Farrell, and the lovely Bridget Moynahan as Spymaster and fledgling spies respectively. In order to sneak files out of CIA headquarters Ms. Moynahan hides a USB memory key in the base of her coffee cup. It's either very cool or somewhat scary that the Memory watch does the same thing, only it's not something Q dreamed up, but a soon to be highly available consumer gadget. We got one to play with and found that not only does it work perfectly, but the USB cable really does hide in the wrist band so that no one would be the wiser. Admittedly, Bond still has the edge in timepieces, but we're catching up. Note: the red light on the left in the lower photo shows that you're hooked up.
