With many of the latest prosumer/serious amateur digital cameras using SDHC memory cards, having a standard SD card means you're not getting the most out of your new camera. And for me evaluating these same new cameras at their best means getting my hands on the biggest Class 6 SDHC card from Verbatim, namely their Premium SDHC card.

The perfect opportunity to test the Verbatim Premium 32GB SDHC Card (Class 6) came when I got a chance to evaluate the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GH1 at the same time. Since this 12 Megapixel digital camera also shoots 1080p Full HD AVCHD video, it was a win-win proposition.

Whether I took a lot of photos in quick succession or switched over to shoot 1080p video, the Verbatim Premium 32GB SDHC Card (Class 6) handled the task flawlessly and effortlessly.

Although this card will physically fit into the memory card slot of any digital camera that accepts any SD/SDHC, it probably won't work on models that are more than 2 or 3 years old. Check with the manufacturer's website for compatibility. Unless you own a digital SLR or high end digital point & shoot camera, or one that shoots 1080p video, you won't benefit nearly as much from this card's ability to save your photos faster (especially in burst mode), or the fast speed downloading to your computer. Class 6 memory cards are currently the fastest cards on the market and are optimized for for high performance. The Verbatim Premium 32GB SDHC Card (Class 6) is worth the premium price you pay for it.
