If you're salivating like Pavlov's dog over the thought of buying the 36MP Nikon D800 and D800E, then you will be delighted to know that they are expected to be in stores on March 22, 2012 and April 12, 2012 respectively.

Nikon Rumors uncovered an interesting little tidbit regarding the dealer pricing of the Nikon D800 in the US.

The D800 that your dealer sells to you for $3000 cost the dealer $2700, while the D800E sells for $3300 and cost the dealer $2970 – a markup of 11% and 10%, respectively. Accessories, however, are a different ball game altogether...
